Sony has announced the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua, a new robust mid-range phone with 4.8-inch display, which will come in late September at a price of 249 euros in the trade. The 8-megapixel main camera with Exmor-RS sensor is a highlight of 8.6 millimeters thin Android smartphone that has a dust and water-proof housing, which is certified to IP 65 and IP 68.

The other features of the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua correspond rather simple middle class. Thus, the 4.8-inch screen has only a moderate sharpness of detail of 540 x 960 pixels. Its Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor is only clocked at 1.2 GHz. 1 GB RAM and 8 GB flash memory (freely available: 5 GB) are installed. Via MicroSD card slot, this memory can be expanded later.
